O'Neill Competition Vest lineup defies conventions and sets a new industry standard for performance technology. The lightest vests in the water are now even lighter, stronger and faster-drying than ever before.
Nytrolite Foam Technology - Low Density Polyethylene which is expanded using Nitrogen in an exclusive process which cannot be duplicated. Nytrolite foam is 3x lighter than the PVC foam. Its closed cell structure absorbs 15-20% less water. It is 10% more buoyant than PVC, which means that less foam can be used in each vest and it will still float the same. These vests are not approved as life-jackets by the United States Coast Guard.
