Lightweight, packable, and ready for variable layering in changing conditions, the Patagonia R1 Vest is made from a combination of functional materials - thicker ones cover the chest and shoulders for thermal insulation, while lighter ones form panels for better breathability in the armpits and on the back. Plus, with a special HeiQ® Pure treatment, you don't have to worry about unpleasant odors even after several days of exertion.

You can use the close-fitting and adjustable vest even when hiking with heavy backpack. The shoulder seams are adjusted so that the backpack straps do not press on you. And when it gets warmer? You can pack the vest into compact dimensions and hide it in your pocket.
