Wide Trail (WT)
Maxxis tires based on the Wide Trail construction are optimized for modern wide rims (30-35mm). As a result, the tire worn on a wide rim maintains an optimal round profile without unwanted flattening, thus offering maximum performance.
- Wide Trail tires for trail, enduro and downhill use are designed for rims with an inner width of 35mm and are compatible with rims 30-35mm.
- Wide Trail tires for XC use are designed for rims with an inner width of 30 mm and are compatible with 25-30mm rims.
3C MaxxTerra (3CT)
The combination of three compounds in a medium level of hardness ensures a balanced ratio of traction, service life and rolling resistance.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
If you want to get rid of the extra grams and the hassle of flat tire and ride without tubes, go for Tubeless Ready. They use a compound compatible with sealant and have a reinforcement in the sidewall to strengthen puncture resistance. They also feature a special tubeless bead that clings better to the rim. Tubeless tires can also be used with inner tubes. Make sure your rims are tubeless compatible. It's a good idea to check the sealant from time to time to ensure it maintains the desired pressure.
EXO+
Updated protection from Maxxis that is suitable for all-round use on trails and lightweight electric bikes. The base features a 60 TPI casing, which is complemented in the sidewalls by the legendary EXO material that resists punctures often caused by collisions with rocks or roots. A butyl insert is placed in the bead area to add extra protection to the rim.
