Wide Trail (WT)
Maxxis tires based on the Wide Trail construction are optimized for modern wide rims (30-35mm). As a result, the tire worn on a wide rim maintains an optimal round profile without unwanted flattening, thus offering maximum performance.
- Wide Trail tires for trail, enduro and downhill use are designed for rims with an inner width of 35mm and are compatible with rims 30-35mm.
- Wide Trail tires for XC use are designed for rims with an inner width of 30 mm and are compatible with 25-30mm rims.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
If you want to get rid of the extra grams and the hassle of flat tire and ride without tubes, go for Tubeless Ready. They use a compound compatible with sealant and have a reinforcement in the sidewall to strengthen puncture resistance. They also feature a special tubeless bead that clings better to the rim. Tubeless tires can also be used with inner tubes. Make sure your rims are tubeless compatible. It's a good idea to check the sealant from time to time to ensure it maintains the desired pressure.
3C MaxxGrip (3CG)
A soft combination of three compounds for uncompromising grip and unrivaled traction on downhills, used by top racers in the World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series.
In combination with the Doubledown reinforcement, it creates ideal conditions for both enduro and e-bike.
Doubledown (DD)
The next step in the development of two-layer tires for enduro racing. The two 120 TPI layers are complemented by reinforcement in the sidewall, giving the enduro racer the durability of a downhill tire in a lighter package.
