Splitboard Arbor Coda Rocker

The Arbor Coda splitboard is based on the legendary Coda board. The upper layer is made of walnut veneer, which replaces the lamination layer and brings natural strength, durability and response when riding. There are a total of four contact points on the edges in the binding area, the so-called Grip Tech for better control when riding along the edge, so the board holds better even on frozen snow. Karakoram locks reliably connect the two halves together, which allows a firm feeling under your feet. The use of the lightest Highland core construction gives the board a fluffy feel on the way up, all without compromising on stability.

Specifications

  • Rocker System - A rocker that is more prominent in the center of the board. At the tip and tail, the rocker is reduced, the so-called Parabolic Rocker for maximum performance at higher speeds and better sailing in powder. Rocker makes it easier to start the curve, better sailing in the powder and an overall smoother ride.
  • Big Mountain-Twin - A shorter nose than tail allows for a feeling of stability and an ideal starting point for progress
  • Grip Tech technology - Sidecut adds contact points underfoot, ensuring a more ergonomic way to stick to the snow when needed. At the same time, it forms contact points on the tip and tail for easier and more natural arches.
  • Universal Splitboard Insert Packs
  • FSC Certified Highland Split Core - highly versatile core with additional reinforcements for super light performance and durability
  • Mixed Glassing - a mixture of biax / triax fiberglass
  • Carbon Uprights - carbon reinforcements for higher durability, pop and performance
  • 360 ° Fully Wrapped Sidewalls - damage resistant sidewalls
  • Sintered + Base - fast and durable sintered base
  • American Black Walnut Powerply - a unique black walnut topsheet
  • Bio Plastic Topsheet - ecological top layer of castor oil, which is extremely durable and water repellent
  • Recycled Steel Edges - Highly durable edges embody two Arbor values: quality and sustainability.
  • Wend Natural Wax - All Arbor snowboards are immediately ready to ride thanks to a layer of Wend Natural Wax wax.
  • Entropy Bio Resin - A substitute for a traditional petroleum-based resin that does not affect performance or usability. The components that enter Entropy Bio Resin are obtained as by-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are produced using green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% against petroleum equivalents.
  • Karakoram Ultra Clips - the highest quality and most reliable locks
  • Flex 7/10

How to choose splitboard?

Choosing the right splitboard gear is one of the most important steps to getting the most out of splitboarding. That's why we've prepared a How To section in cooperation with #FreerideTV. Today we'll give you advice on how to choose a splitboard, what to wear and how to try to avoid unpleasant situations in the mountains. Let's do it!

Splitboarding is a sport that attracts more and more people. It's an escape from the crowded resorts and a longing for icy silence in the middle of the woods and mountain tops. However, much more than other sports, the right equipment is very important in splitboarding because it can save your life. In addition to the splitboard and bindings, essential equipment includes pucks, climbing skins, poles and avalanche safety equipment.

You can do without them when you first start splitboarding, but in time every enthusiast will appreciate them. And by these we mean crampons. These are used in steep slopes and traverses on frozen surfaces.

The last important piece of the whole puzzle is the the right freeride clothing and avalanche backpack that can comfortably hold your avalanche gear. And how to put it all together and not go crazy, Dominik will advise you in the above mentioned video.
