Loads of safety features and style in the new Heist model. Bern combined two technologies to make head protection even more effective. The innovative Dual Shell Integration (DSI) construction combines the lightweight properties of Zipmold and PVC shell with a durable ABS layer.

MIPS

• The source of inspiration for MIPS technology is the human brain.
• The brain is surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid, which keeps the brain moving inside the skull and protects it from impacts.
• A thin MIPS friction layer is placed between the inner padded part and the upper EPS shell of the helmet using specially developed flexible grips. Its arrangement does not disturb the overall appearance or shape of the helmet in any way, it does not reduce comfort, nor does it affect the technical properties. At the moment of impact, the MIPS layer moves with the head regardless of the direction of the impact and limits the rotation of the brain, which can be very dangerous.

The Bern Heist helmet meets CPSC and EN 1077B standards (snowboard and ski helmets).
