Snowboarding
Snowboard instructions
Snowboarding is a sports discipline that can cause injuries, even life-threatening. When using snowboard kits, take care of your safety and your surroundings,
and always make sure your equipment is in perfect condition. Let your bindings and snowboard be checked by experts, and always perform regular maintenance before
the season. Do not use narcotic drugs or drink alcohol before or during riding. Always follow the recommendations of Mountain rescue service and regulations and follow the
general guidelines for mountain and downhill skiing. Always while riding think about your experience and skills, we recommend beginners to contact an instructor
or a specialist course. Always use a securing strap (leash) that prevents the loss of your snowboard when riding and carrying.
Snowboard maintenance
Before every season, you need to regularly maintain your snowboard and then repeat it every 10 to 20 days.
It is recommended to treat snowboards with special waxes. Apply the wax on a clean, degreased base and use an iron (you can also use the old iron on the textile,
set the temperature to the lowest level). Sink the hot wax into the base. Let the layer of wax to solidify and then remove it with a plastic scraper from the
base, the wax stays only in the pores of the base, which is then perfectly smooth. The surface can be brushed with a special brush and polished with a fleece
cloth. If you do not regularly wax the snowboard, snow may glue to the base and the ride will not be smooth. Treat a snowboard even before you put it on a summer
sleep – you avoid drying out the snowboard structure over the base. Before each waxing, it is good to remove the old wax with a special wax remover. It can
also be waxed with liquid waxes that are easy to apply and can be used directly on the slope. The snowboard edges can be sharpened by using special fans, or you
can bring your snowboard to a special service, where they use a sanding machine - it grinds the edges and the surface with grinding stones across the snowboard
surface and eliminates small grooves in the base. Deeper grooves can be poured with so-called kofix sticks.
Protect your snowboard, bindings, and boots during transport by storing them in a board bag. Store the snowboard in a dry place, and try to avoid contact with direct sunlight.
Instructions for using and mounting snowboard binding
Snowboard binding is not a self-unlocking security and as a result, does not protect against various injuries. Ensure that your bindings are mounted and
adjusted by experienced specialists.
If the size of the shoe is correctly chosen, the shoe should be centered in the middle of the bindings. If the boot is not centered on the binding,
simply set the heel on the binding.
If you can not center the boot in the bindings through the holes in the disk, you need to change the position. The boot should be centered in the middle of the binding
by moving the binding heel. The heel angle can be changed by using a variable tilt screw. Adjust the length of the straps to keep the boot on both sides equally.
When tightening the screws, hold firmly the disc and tighten the screws to the cross. Ensure that all screws fit properly. Use only original screws that have been
attached to the binding. The binding is set correctly if the shoe is well seated. The basic rule is that the part of the shoe that extends beyond the edge of the
snowboard should be the same on both sides.
Before using the binding, clean the snow and ice and always check its performance.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of snowboard boots
Use snowboard boots only for snowboarding. Snowboard boots should be comfortable and you should choose the right size. Boots must not push anywhere. The heel and the
ankle should be tightly tightened to avoid raising your heel when riding. Snowboard boot usually has a removable inner boot with self-binding. When putting on boots,
first put on the inner boot, pull it firmly, and then put on the outer boot. Snowboard boots should be properly dried after every use, we recommend removing the inner
boots and drying them separately. Do not dry them on heating! For maintenance, use only the specified material according to the used material (material information
can be obtained with pictograms on the boots.
Instructions for the use of snowboard helmets
Put on your helmet and fasten the helmet with your fastener. The helmet must sit comfortably and securely on your head. After turning on the clamp, the helmet should not
move significantly forward and backward. Ensure that your helmet does not obstruct your viewing. The helmet is designed exclusively for snowboarding and skiing.
Never use a snowboard helmet for motorized transport, mountaineering, and activities where there is a risk of hitching or hanging by a fastening strap. A snowboard helmet
is designed to absorb a certain amount of energy when you fall. In case of a bigger impact or deeper scratches, the helmet needs to be replaced immediately.
A damaged helmet can not protect your head from injury. Also after very long use (several years), the helmet should be replaced, even if it hasn‘t been damaged. Check
your helmet regularly. Check out both visible defects and any missing parts. Use only water, gentle soap, and a soft cloth for cleaning. Very young children can‘t use the helmet due to the risk of strangulation by wrong handling. The protective effect of this helmet can be reduced by using paint, detergents, chemicals, etc.
Do not expose the helmet to temperatures above 62°C. Beware - high temperatures are reached on a sunny day even inside the car! Some injuries are inevitable and
completely independent of the type of helmet you wear.
Snowboard helmets must fulfill strict standards - CPSC, ASTM F 2040, and EN 1077 certification.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of goggles
Goggles are designed only for skiing and snowboarding. They must not be used as shock or fall protection goggles, they only protect against wind, snow, humidity, and
sunlight. These glasses are not determined to be used to drive motor vehicles.
Clean the glasses by carefully removing them from the frame and washing them with soap under running water. Allow the glass to dry after washing. Do not use any
chemicals or other detergents. If the inside of the glass is damp, its surface softens and is prone to scratches. The glasses should not be wiped dry and allowed
to dry at room temperature! Do not put your glasses down, to prevent scratches. Keep the glasses in a dry place in a protective package and do not expose them to
temperatures above 50 ° C. Beware – high temperatures are reached on a sunny day even inside the car!
Instructions for the use and maintenance of guards
Back protectors, knee pads, ankle guards, wrist guards, elbow guards, and short protections are designed only for skiing and snowboarding. Before using, make sure
that you have chosen the correct size of the protector. It must cover the entire body that requires protection. Position the protector as close as possible to the
body and adjust the straps so that the protector is securely in place without moving, pinching or friction.
Protectors provide protection against injuries during falls and accidents. Check if the protector is alright and its function is
not limited whenever you fall down! If it is damaged, it must be replaced. The purpose of the protector is to reduce the force transferred from the strike or fall to the obstacle. The back
protector bends back and forward in the arc - an excessively stiff protector could transfer the force caused by a fall or a stroke outside the protected area,
especially to the neck. Excessive twisting and bending of the protector may cause reducing of protective function. Protectors do not wash even don‘t soak it up. If
it is dirty, use a damp cloth.
Snowboard protectors have to comply with strict standards - EN 1621/2 and EN 1621/1.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of snowboard clothing
Snowboard clothing is a technical and functional garment that is both breathable and waterproof. These properties allow a membrane under the top layer. The membrane
pass through molecules of steam and prevents water access. The top layer is treated with impregnation that repels water drops from the surface of the fabric. The rate
of waterproofness is determined by the height of the water column (it is given in mm, eg 10 000 mm), breathability is given in units of g/m3/24h (eg 10 000 g,
that means 10 liters water may be evaporated by membrane with an area of 1 m3 per 24 h).
We recommend using functional underwear to ensure good function of upper clothing - a three-layer principle:
- The transport layer removes moistness from the surface of your body, the transport layer doesn‘t absorb moistness
- Insulating layer - doesn‘t absorb moistness, includes all fleece clothing of different weights and surface-repellent
- Protective top sheet - waterproof and breathable.
We recommend washing snowboard clothing as little as possible because during each wash are partially reduced functional properties. If you need to wash your clothes,
use a special washing emulsion that doesn‘t contain phosphates, bleaching, or softening ingredients. Before washing, remove everything that could mechanically damage
the material - be careful of the forgotten items in the pockets, and put velcro pockets together so that the surface doesn‘t scratch. Do not steep or prescribe before.
Do not spin-dry and don't use a dryer. Always dry in a hanger (never in a tumble dryer). When washing and servicing the clothes, always follow the symbols on the back
of the clothes! To protect your feet, always use special socks with terry on the shin, heel, and toe. They will reduce bruises and abrasions.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of snowboard gloves
Snowboard gloves should sit precisely on your hands, they should not be too big or too tight. Gloves protect against cold, snow, and rain. Inside the glove
is usually an internal fleece lining, which is good to remove when drying. Never dry gloves on the heater! For maintenance are valid the same rules as
for snowboard clothing, for leather gloves follow general principles for the maintenance of leather materials. Always follow the symbols on the product.
Freeriding
Instructions for using snowshoes
Snowshoes from our offer are designed for leisure in safe areas and near places where people live. They are not designed for alpinism!
Snowshoes are attached to boots (you can use any winter outdoor shoes) with the straps that are part of the product. So the heel and the nose
of the shoe are firmly fixed. The heel can be firmly fixed to the snowshoe or as free as cross-bindings. The selected types of snowshoes are equipped
with a snow pad and a front apex ("grab").
Snowshoes are made of high-quality plastic. They are designed for walking or running in a continuously snowy field. Do not use snowshoes where there is no
continuously snowy terrain and where snowshoes could be damaged, such as bare rock, rocks, etc. After using snowshoes, rinse with running water and dry
them in a warm room. Do not expose the snowshoe to an open fire or even larger heat to prevent their deformation! Use protective plastic caps for the apex
that are on the bottom of snowshoes.
Wakeboarding
Notice
Wakeboarding may cause injuries, even fatal. To reduce risk, follow a few simple rules.
- always keep the wakeboard under control and do not use it at speeds that exceed your abilities
- the speed of the towboat or cable car must permit reasonable control and stability
- choose the right size of the wakeboard and the binding
- use only on water, do not use in shallow water or near shores, docks, pillars, swimmers, or other boats
- always wear a certified vest of the correct size
- we recommend beginners a wakeboarding course under the guidance of experienced instructors
Instructions for using wakeboards
Before using the wakeboard, read the local laws and the risks associated with wakeboarding. Always carefully assess your abilities and health. Do not drink
alcohol or other drugs before riding. Before riding, check your equipment, and tighten all the bolts, edges, and base. When riding a boat, also check the
rope. If you find any problem or defect, contact an expert. On the boat, there should be the driver and another person who observes everything around.
The wakeboard user and observer must have agreed signals for different situations.
Reflections from water surfaces and obstacles may increase the risk of injury or death. Use the wakeboard always on the water. The rope must be tightened, sudden
shocks may cause injury to the rider or rope failure.
Mechanical damage to the wakeboard caused by riding on obstacles or jumping may lead to a defect that cannot be covered by the warranty.
Wakeboard maintenance
The base must not be waxed, painted, or otherwise treated. Only clean with water and soap. When riding in salt water, always rinse
thoroughly after each use. If you find out any fault, contact a specialist service.
Do not leave the wakeboard in direct sunlight, it may damage construction or fade colors, which is not covered by the warranty.
So, if you are not riding, just keep your wakeboard in the bag.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of wakeskate
For wakeskate use and maintenance, follow the same rules as for wakeboards.
Instructions for the use and maintenance of wakesurf
For the wakesurf use and maintenance, follow the same rules as for wakeboards.
Instructions for use and montage of wakeboard bindings
Choose the correct size of wakeboard binding. Before putting it on, soak the bindings and then tighten them comfortably on your leg. Binding must fit tightly on
the leg, but it must not be tightened too much to push it anywhere. In a hard impact, the binding can be loosened, which prevents
unpleasant leg injuries. Attach the bindings to the wakeboard by using the original screws which are enclosed in the box. It is important that the binding is
centered on the wakeboard, both the toe and the binding heel must be at the same distance from the edge. The wakeboard usually mounts as a twin tip
(against the snowboard). That means that both right and left bindings are at the same distance from the nose and tail of the wakeboard. Be careful - some brands do not
use a European screw thread, but Whitworth, which will not screw in the wakeboard properly. In this case, contact a specialist service and
they will replace the screws.
When using bindings and boots called System from the brand Hyperlite, apply the same montage rules as for classic wake bindings.
Instructions for using wakeboard helmets
Put on your helmet and fasten the helmet with your fastener. The helmet must sit comfortably and securely on your head. After turning on the clamp, the helmet should
not move significantly forward and backward. Ensure that your helmet does not obstruct your viewing. The helmet is designed exclusively for wakeboarding and water sports.
Never use a wakeboard helmet for motorized transport, mountaineering, and activities where there is a risk of hitching or hanging by a fastening strap. A Wakeboard
helmet is designed to absorb a certain amount of energy when you fall. In case of a bigger impact or deeper scratches, the helmet needs to be replaced
immediately. A damaged helmet can not protect your head from injury. Also after very long use (several years), the helmet should be replaced, even if it hasn‘t been
damaged. Check your helmet regularly. Check out both visible defects and any missing parts. Use only water, gentle soap, and a soft cloth for cleaning. Very young children can't use the helmet due to the risk of strangulation by wrong handling. The protective effect of this helmet can be reduced by using paint, detergents,
chemicals et. Do not expose the helmet to temperatures above 62°C. Beware - high temperatures are reached on a sunny day even inside the car! Some injuries are
inevitable and completely independent of the type of helmet you wear.
Helmets for water sports must comply with EN 1385 standards.
Instructions for using wakeboard vests
There are 2 types of wakeboard vests - certified and uncertified. Certified life jackets have strict standards and serve as rescue aids when you fall. Protects you
from water level injuries.
Certified wakeboard vests protect you when you fall down on the water surface, but they also float in water. We recommend wearing this vest especially for children,
beginners, and all who want maximum protection. Uncertified vests are used only to reduce shocks when fall, they do not float in water.
Before using wakeboard vests, pay attention to the fastening and seams. If you find any damage to materials, joints, seams, fastenings, or other
parts or if you find unwanted mobility of the inner padding, contact your sealer for repair or replacement of the product.
The vest must fit close to the body. If it is loose even when tightened by adjustable strips or climbing up, it means that the vest is large and you need a
smaller size. Make sure the vest allows you a sufficient range of movement. Breathing must not be restricted. When dressing, note that neoprene parts can
be pulled up about 5% when wet.
After each use, rinse with clean water and hang it on a plastic or wooden hanger. Do not hang on wired hangers. Keep out of reach of direct
sunlight. Once-a-time wash your wakeboard vest with a suitable cleaner and water. Do not use a washing machine or dryer for washing or drying. Do
not bleach. Keep the vest in a dry, cool place.
Instructions for using neoprene
Before each use, check the neoprene properly, especially the seams and fastenings. If you find any damage to material, joints, seams, fastenings or other
parts, contact your sealer for repair or replacement of the product.
Make sure your neoprene gives you enough movement. Breathing must not be restricted. When dressing, note that the neoprene can pull up about 5% when wet.
After every use, rinse off the neoprene with clean water and hang it on a plastic or wooden hanger. Do not hang on wired hangers. Dry out of reach of direct
sunlight (UV radiation may cause color fading). Occasionally wash the neoprene with a suitable cleaner and water. Do not use a washing machine
or dryer for washing or drying. Do not bleach. Store the neoprene in a dry, cool place.
Longboarding and skateboarding
Notice
Longboarding/skateboarding is a dangerous sports discipline that can lead to injury or death. Take extra care and wear a helmet, protectors, and shoes with a dry non-slip sole. Adapt your ride, terrain, and speed to your skills and health, do not drink alcohol or other drugs before or during riding.
Beginners should practice the ride in the presence of another person. Use longboard/skateboard only for the purposes for which it is intended.
Directions for using longboards/skateboards
Longboard/skateboard should only be used in places that are suitable for longboard/skateboard riding. These places should have a flat, clean, dry surface,
and no motorized vehicles should be in their vicinity. Longboard/skateboard is not determined for use on the road, longboard/skateboard is not designed to ride between
motor vehicles.
Check the condition of wheels, bearings, trucks, and bolts before each ride. All screws should be properly tightened. Do not make any adjustments on the
longboard/skateboard that could endanger the safety of their use. With frequent tightening and loosing of self-locking nuts, their fixing properties
and coating may be impaired.
Perform regular inspections to make sure there are no cracks or defects on the board and that it is alright.
Longboard/skateboard maintenance
Clean your longboard/skateboard only with a dry or damp cloth. Never use any special detergents. Before and after every use, check for signs of damage on the
longboard/skateboard. Only use original spare parts for your safety. If parts of a longboard/skateboard are damaged or sharp edges appear, you
should not use the product further. Keep a longboard/skateboard in a safe place where it will be protected from all adverse effects where it can not
be damaged and where it can not hurt anyone.
Longboard/skateboard should be protected especially against direct sunlight. If you want to extend the life of your longboard/skateboard, store your stuff in a shady
place.
Instructions for using longboard helmets
Put on your helmet and fasten the helmet with your fastener. The helmet must sit comfortably and securely on your head. After turning on the clamp, the helmet should
not move significantly forward and backward. Ensure that your helmet does not obstruct your viewing. The helmet is designed exclusively for skateboarding,
longboarding, and cycling.
Never use a skateboard/longboard/bike helmet for motorized transport, mountaineering, and activities where there is a risk of hitching or hanging by a fastening strap.
A skateboard/longboard/bike helmet is designed to absorb a certain amount of energy when you fall down. In case of a bigger impact or deeper scratches, the helmet
