Helmet Bern FL-1
The Bern brand has been producing helmets for city cycling, skateboarding and especially snowboarding for several years, but this is the first time it has come to the light with a helmet designed for road cycling. The FL-1 helmet has all the attributes you would expect from a racing helmet. Lots of air supply for ventilation, super light construction, stunning design with aggressive aerodynamic lines, which does not endanger your driving comfort and moreover is equipped with a Boa system, which allows you to easily adjust the helmet to fit perfectly. The FL-1 is different from any fully ventilated helmet, it is built with 18 holes without compromising the strength of the dual polycarbonate shell. Other features include EPS foam for weight reduction and lining to maintain comfort during long rides.
Parameters
- In-Mold EPS construction - polycarbonate micro shell lined with EPS foam to create an ultra light helmet
- 360 ° Boa system - patented winding system that allows quick size adjustment. The boa works on the principle of winding the cable on a wheel. By simply turning the winding wheel, the cable is tightened and thanks to that the helmet is evenly tightened. The result is a higher degree of comfort perfect grip. By pulling the wheel, on the other hand, the cable is released.
The FL-1 helmet complies with CPSC, EN 1078 + A1 (Helmets for cyclists and users of skateboards and roller skates) and ASTM F 2040.
Instructions for use of the Bern helmet
Put on your helmet and use the fastening strap to fit the helmet on your head so that it fits comfortably and firmly on your head. After fastening the strap, the helmet should not move significantly back and forth. Make sure that the helmet does not obstruct your view. The helmet is designed exclusively for cycling. It must never be used for motorized vehicles, mountaineering or activities where there is a risk of hooking or hanging behind the fastening strap. The cycling helmet is designed to absorb a certain amount of energy in the moment of fall. Therefore, in the moment of a major impact or a deeper scratch, the helmet must be replaced immediately. A helmet damaged in this way can no longer adequately protect your head from injury. Also after long-term (many-year) use, the helmet should be replaced, even if it has not been damaged in any way. Check the helmet regularly for visible defects and also for missing parts. Use only water, mild soap and a soft cloth for cleaning. The protective effect of this helmet can be reduced by using varnish, cleaning agents, chemicals and the like. The helmet must not be exposed to temperatures higher than 62 °C. Caution - such temperatures can be observed even the inside the car on a sunny day! Some injuries are inevitable and completely independent of what helmet you wear.
