Ortovox Peak 52 S Hiking & Ski Backpack

The ORTOVOX Peak 52 S is a top-quality and versatile backpack designed for ski mountaineers who are going on a multi-day trek and need a reliable all-round backpack that provides the comfort they need. The seemingly minimalist design offers a host of great features and functionality. The wool back system absorbs moisture (SWISSWOOL 3D) so some sweat won't mess you up.

The 52-litre capacity guarantees plenty of space for expeditions when you need a sleeping bag, tent, cooker, helmet, crampons and even climbing gear. You'll also appreciate the convenient access to the main compartment from the front and top, a huge advantage if you want to get to stuff packed on the bottom or sides. Even with a heavy load, the reinforced and padded shoulder straps give you comfort and the material your body will be in contact with will promote moisture wicking. With this pack, you can go anywhere and enjoy the ultimate feeling of freedom.

The Peak 52 S is designed especially for smaller figures with backs around 36-44 cm (hence the "S" in the name). In addition to the main compartment, it offers additional storage spaces:

  • Access to the main compartment from the front and top
  • Zipper along the perimeter of the backpack
  • The main compartment is equipped with a bottle pocket
  • A separate pocket for avalanche equipment, where you can store a shovel and a probe
  • Attachment of safety equipment
  • Map pocket
  • Waist belt with pocket
  • A-Skifix: Option to attach skis to A
  • D-Skifix: Option to attach skis diagonally
  • Snowboard or snowshoe mount
  • Additional compartment for emergency equipment
  • 2 ice ax holders
  • Fastening the ski poles
  • Rope attachment
  • Crampons section
  • Loop for additional equipment
  • Helmet net
  • Compatible with hydro bag
  • Chest strap with whistle
  • Swisswool 3D back system for high comfort even with heavy loads
  • Designed for multi-day hikes

The processing of Polyamide 420D Ripstop (from 50% recycled) and Polyamide 420D (100% recycled) makes it an extremely durable piece ready to face abrasion and water. And if it happens that the backpack is wet, it dries quickly for the next use. A signal whistle on the chest strap is a matter of course.

The back system is equipped with a central panel with a chimney effect for better air circulation during movement. That it is a professional backpack for high-altitude tourism, mountain climbing and ski alpine is also clear from the honest design of the storage space for equipment: skis, snowboard, poles, crampons, snowshoes, helmet, rope, carabiners - everything has its precisely designated place.
