The balance of opposites is the key idea of the RVCA brand. This brand, whose name is, by the way, correctly pronounced [REW-KA], is forging its own path without falling into the boxes of conventional action sports and lifestyle manufacturers.
The letters VA in the brand name represent the balance of opposites that have coexisted for centuries: nature and industrialization, woman and man, past and present... in short, the balance that holds the world together. The spiritual father and founder of RVCA - PM Tenore - is also behind the main ideas behind the brand that breaks the usual rules. The core ideas are quality design, but without fading trends, and bringing together like-minded people from different subcultures. RVCA products therefore look as natural on the shelves of boutiques as they do in a skate shop.
From the beginning, PM Tenore intended to create a platform for the RVCA that combines art, music, fashion and modern lifestyle in an original way. At the beginning of this vision was the ANP (Artist Network Program), an artistic program that aims to showcase the talent of established and undiscovered artists who are inspiring our generation and pushing the boundaries of creative excellence.
With its philosophy of uniting subcultures, the RVCA is changing how the market looks at art and fashion. The balance of opposites expresses that different groups can work together, like air and land, destruction and industrialization, art and science, foreign and domestic, order and chaos, past and present.
