Returning Roots: Arbor Repays Its Debt to Nature

Everybody talks about environmental responsibility today, but Arbor does not stop with empty talk and demonstrates its efforts with action. For example, by restoring forests in Hawaii.
The California-based brand has donated a portion of its sales to the environment since its launch. Forest care and reforestation are particularly important in this regard, especially for a brand that is built on the use of wood. Arbor operates in the acacia forests of Hawaii, where its reforestation activities give back to nature what it takes from it in the production of its unique snowboards, skateboards and longboards
Today, Arbor is the only brand in action sports restoring forests, rather than just planting trees. In partnership with the nonprofit Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative, the brand has helped plant over 500,000 trees!
They are fulfilling their promise to produce ecologically and to give as much back to nature as possible. Today, every Arbor snowboard is made 100% using solar energy, with 80% of the materials coming from renewable sources. How to bring the remaining 20% in line is the subject of intense research. Also Powerply technology is contributing to the greener production of Arbor snowboards, which we wrote an article about a while ago.
