Etnies celebrates 35 years

Every skateboarder knows this brand well. But it may seem surprising that they have been here with us for three and a half decades. Learn more about the colorful history of Etnies!
An avid skateboarder, CEO and owner of Etnies in one person - Pierre-Andre Senizergues will guide you in 20 minutes through the 35-year history of the company, which to this day remains true to its roots.
It started with the first skate pro model of the Etnies Natas skate in 1987. A collaboration with skate legends soon followed, succeeded by the Rap, Sal 23 and pro models Arto, Sheckler, Elissa, Dill, Nathan Williams and others.
Throughout those long years, Etnies continues to support the communities around skateboarding and snowboarding, BMX and MTB. Over the course of three decades, legends on the Etnies team rider list have tended toward authenticity and social engagement. Evidence of this is the GvR event, in which good souls from Etnies donated 50,000 pairs of shoes to homeless people, or the Buy a Shoe, Plant and Tree program, which has already taken care of planting two million trees in the rainforest. This brand, still owned by a skateboarder, just means it as seriously with responsibility for the environment and society as with the effort to constantly develop its shoes to last longer. That's why Etnies has recently joined forces with the tyre giant Michelin to create even more durable soles with even better grip.
