We chose the product for this week. Oakley Sutro from the Kokoro collection designed by the artist Meguru Yamaguchi, originally created for international sports games in Japan.
The story behind the Sutro Kokoro
Sutro Kokoro sunglasses from Oakley were originally intended for international sports games in Japan. The collection represents the brilliance and beauty of the human race. Designed by Japanese artist Meguru Yamaguchi, it celebrates our shared love of sport and unites athletes of all abilities at a time when the need for community is greater than ever. Kokoro means "heart, mind, spirituality" in Japanese and refers to the team spirit of Team Oakley through a general love of sport.
The Sutro model draws inspiration from the daily lives of urban cyclists. Large glasses ensure a bold, versatile look, maximum eye protection and, thanks to Prizm™ technology, also a perfect view. Sutro inspires athletes to deliver top performances.
Featuring Meguru's distinct style, every piece is made to celebrate freedom of movement and progression made by athletes everywhere.
Each Sutro is unique
It is also important to note that each piece in this collection is completely unique and it is not possible to find two that are identically same. They were made with a machine with a special spin technique, which was designed to mimic the strokes of the Meguru brush. We can therefore rightfully say that there's no Sutro like a Sutro. The ones from the Kokoro collection are as unique as it goes.
What technologies and gadgets for athletes to expect from Sutro sunglasses is shown in this video.
