SNOWBOARD ZEZULA Wake Trip 2020

Patrik Hanes, Radko Hradil, Tomáš Jadrný and Adam Lejsek x Freeride.cz WAKE. Immediately after the opening of borders, we all met in the Bearded Brothers WakeSoul, where the SNOWBOARD ZEZULA team session took place all weekend. Together with shooting and filming and here is the result!

We rarely come together like this, everyone lives in a different part of the republic, or even on the Czech or Slovak side of the border, but when it comes down to it, it can get pretty hot!

For a long time now, we had been planning such a trip with Freeride.cz, and also had several options in mind, nevertheless, the situation and measures due to COVID-19 complicated the plans.

Shooting and filming in Piešťany

As soon as we heard about the opening of the border between the Slovakia and the Czech Republic, the plan was clear. We picked up the phones, agreed with the whole crew on the first date possible and set off in the direction of Bearded Brothers WakeSoul in Piešťany. This is also a home wakepark to one team member - Radko Hradil, you could say that he was practically born on the lift. It was built in 1996 by his grandfather. Therefore we were all pretty comfortable filming there. Great accommodation and food right by the lift, a boat available for the staff and helpfulness at the max. Big thanks goes to the guys from Bearded Brothers WakeSoul!

Day one - Winch

The first day, we started at the winch spot in the morning. It is a local canal near the lift. Just instead of a winch, we had a slightly more expensive ride (lol). We were pulled by a Mercedes car.

Radko and Patrik enjoyed the ride the most. Radko unlocked it with a Tailtap against the tree and Patrik finished it with Nosebong BS 180 out! 

In the afternoon, we moved to the lift, where the team met in a complete line-up and the photoshooting followed. Thanks a lot, Prouzič Photography!

Day two - Wakepark

Although the weather forecast was not promising at all, we woke up the next day under a beautiful blue sky, what more could you want! Breakfast, pack your stuff and hit the water as soon as possible, time runs out quickly...

This day was entirely devoted to filming on the lift in a complete set of riders. Martin Mikyska was behind the camera all the time, thanks man! Of course, Prouzič also managed to make some shots during that raging. There were several obstacles and surely no shortage of laughter and good mood. (lol)

After the whole day of riding, everyone was pretty run-down. And the crew still had another day of trip to come.

Game of W.A.K.E.

We chose a more relaxed tactics for that. A few shots were taken and the Game of W.A.K.E. was next in line so in addition to the team edit, you can also look forward to another funny video.

"I'm glad that the boys came to see me in my home wakepark and we finally met once again after a long time. In 3 days we had a lot of fun, falls, tricks. I was sorry that on the first day of riding I fell on an obstacle and injured my toe, which I had to adjust to the next ride. Still, I think it was a great trip. The most important thing is that we all rode together."
