Report from the legendary SNOWBOARD ZEZULA Freestyle Camp 2019!

Freestyle Camp 2019 in Deštné in the Orlické Mountains passed really quickly! It was an event as it should be! For the whole week from January 21 to January 25, you could see unbounded snowboarders riding in YOUR PARK under the supervision of the most prominent ones. Read the article about the whole week and think twice - will you be there with us next year?
The plan was clear: a one-week ride begins on Monday afternoon right at the spot. We took the getting to know each other tour with a slower start, so during the first night we mainly did servicing of the snowboards. As part of the Test the Best, anyone of our new crew could borrow Arbor or Gravity snowboard and give it a shot during the following days. An essential part of the first day in the mountains followed - the first aid lecture. This time, our friend and rescuer Kolda from Brno took care of that. And because of the frosty days that were awaiting us, the reminder of how to behave on the slopes and in the snowpark was no harm.
No wonder some were so enthusiastic about the next day they couldn't even sleep to see the morning sun. So we got up at the break of dawn, and at half past nine we were already standing in full parade under the slope. We had split into several groups according to our snowboarding skills, and then the real rodeo could finally begin. All afternoon, we worked really hard and bite the dust during the coaching in the park. Some were trying to overcome the basic mistakes they make when riding, such as counter-rotation in the shoulders. The more advanced ones were already flying at the snowpark and refining new tricks and style along with the coaches - Filip Gutwirth and Porkert Bros.
The evenings belonged to the relaxation and regeneration for the next day in the form of billiard, snowboard movies, or just hanging out. At the same time, we were not idle and devoted always ninety minutes to videocoaching. That is, we projected camp participants their own rides from that very day. The purpose was to show them the specific footage where they were making mistakes and to explain what needs to be improved.
And what kind of snowboard camp would it be without a competition! On Wednesday afternoon we had a slalom race. The placement was surprisingly not decided according to the speed of the riders, but mainly according to the style of riding. On Thursday, we battled in the ollie contest for the highest ollie over the bar. The regular attender of our snowboard camps, young Andrej from Brno, won the gold.
On Friday morning, we still had time to ride some and show our camp progress to our parents, whether on the slopes, rail or kicker. We exchanged our Facebooks during the camp already, so we could go home in peace.
The biggest thanks goes to our sponsors Arbor, Gravity Snowboards, Cebu Mango, Chimpanzee, Redbull and Mamut Chips and especially to all of you who were not afraid and went for it!
