Helmets inspired by brain fluid offer better impact protection thanks to Mips technology. What makes this technology so unique and how can it save your life? Check it out!
MIPS - revolutionary head protection technology
The source of inspiration for the Mips patent was human brain. The brain is surrounded by a cerebrospinal fluid that makes the brain move in the skull and is thus protected from impact. Unique MIPS technology is designed to reliably protect your brain from impacts and reduce the vibrations that are transmitted to your brain. MIPS technology is imitating the natural protection of the brain. A thin friction layer - MIPS - is located between the inner padded section and the outer EPS shell of the helmet with specifically developed flexible handles.

Its layout does not interfere with the overall look or the shape of the helmet, does not reduce comfort or distort technical properties. At the moment of impact, the MIPS layer moves along with the head independently of the direction of impact and reduces brain rotation, which can be very dangerous.
The following video shows what is going on with the head when a helmet with MIPS technology hits the obstacle. The head does not get a direct impact as it would in the case with a helmet without MIPS technology. In the case of impact, MIPS technology absorbes energy so the risk of dangerous injury is much lower.
If you're looking for a new partner to reliably take care of the protection of your head, a helmet with the Mips technology could be the right choice.
