Check out step-by-step video on how to build your skateboard:

Before you even set foot on a skateboard, you'll need to know how to set it up properly. From gripping the board to attaching the trucks, wheels, and bearings, this text and video covers everything you need to know in order to be ready to shred in no time. You will need a skate wrench for this, and if you do not have an original one, the classic roller wrenches in sizes 10, 13, 14 will suffice. Plus a Phillips screwdriver or a small Allen key, which is often included in the package with screws and a small knife.

It basically works as a sticker, just remove the paper foil and stick the grip on the deck. You just need to take care to cover the entire surface of the board. Some grips are pierced to prevent bubbles from forming. However, most grips do not have holes, so you must be careful to make as few air bubbles as possible. If one appears, simply pierce it with a pin. After gluing the grip, take a metal object, such as a screwdriver, with which you will grind the edges of the skateboard, which will make a line where you will gradually cut the entire grip. This completes the gluing of the grip. With a sharp object, again preferably with a screwdriver, we make holes in the top of the grip to insert the screws that hold the trucks. Skateboards have eight holes drilled where the trucks are supposed to be.

The skateboard itself will serve us best for this. We build a board and put the first bearing on the truck. We'll put a wheel on it. The shape of the wheels is designed so that the bearings do not fall out spontaneously. So you have to exert a lot of force to press the bearing into the wheel properly. It is better to stand and push with the weight of the whole body. Place the second bearing on the truck and tighten the wheel with a wrench. According to the rider's weight, we adjust the tightening of the kingpin so that the skate reacts as it should. Ideally, the wheel should be tightened so that the thread is not visible at all. This means that you will not destroy it while riding.
