How to... Snowboard

26th September 2019 | 0 comments

Snowboard jackets and trousers are made of technological, waterproof materials. These require gentle handling when washing and drying. In this article, we will advise you on how to wash, dry and impregnate your snowboard clothing so that it retains its technical parameters for as long as possible.

Impregnation

The surface of the material is treated with an impregnation that repels water droplets from the surface of the fabric. This impregnation disappears after time of use and needs to be renewed with impregnating agents, often in the form of a spray. We offer products for the impregnation of clothing, shoes, backpacks and tents.

        Washing

It is recommended to hand wash clothes in lukewarm water. Avoid using detergents with bleach, fabric softeners and other chemical additives. Special washing emulsions are ideal for washing waterproof membrane or weight fabrics, which not only clean the clothes but also impregnate them. Do not wring the clothes but hang it over the bath and let them drain.

              Drying and ironing

Always read the information on the product label carefully. A crossed-out iron means that the product must not be ironed at all. Otherwise, follow exactly the instructions on the care labels. Do not expose your clothes to direct sunlight, the sun can change the colour of your clothes badly within a few hours!
