Apart from fast and comfortable tightening, BOA® FIT SYSTEM offers other advantages – in contrast to laces it won't loose, always tightens the boot equally, resists moisture and freezing.
The BOA Lacing System is by far the best of systems of fast snowboard boots lacing. The boot tightens by the help of a metal wire, which winds up on a disc; in this way it turns the slider. The winding is easy and there is no need of using force. The disc winds the wire up to a certain extent by itself. After taking the boots off, the wire does not restrain, it winds up. The disc is placed on the top of the tongue. On models, where two wires tighten separately instep and shin parts of the boot, are two discs: on the tongue and on the side of the boot.
During the snowboard ride the wire is exposed to tension of approx. 25kg; after a big jump the impact-tension may be double. The steel wire used on BOA can hold over 100kg!
