Nidecker's collection of snowboards specifically designed for perfect powder surfing arcs is showcased in an epic video from Northern Macedonia. A must see!
The mountains are our waves.
Snow surfing is the essence of snowboarding, which is why Nidecker's Snow.Surf Quiver collection is here. Each of the boards designed by Swiss shaper TK is a little different, but they're all united by the desire to carve arcs through untouched powder like a surfboard. They'll give you a feeling of weightlessness and unbridled freeride joy. Perhaps the breath-taking video from North Macedonia, which will get you very much in the mood for this style of riding, says it better. So it was definitely not enough for us to watch it just once!
The Nidecker Snow.Surf Quiver collection boards are aimed at advanced riders who are looking for performance and a perfect riding style. They spend a lot of time not only on the snow, but also on the water and know that if you want to have fun, you need a board that matches the current conditions. That's why in this series, they'll find the perfect tools for spring breaks and huge arcs in deep powder plains. In short, if back foot riding and perfectly carved arcs are your thing, these snowboards are a dream come true.
Imagine a perfectly executed turn. The sound when the edge bites properly, the weightless feeling on the apex and the sheer joy on the exit. Shaper TK knows it on snow and waves. He lives in Biarritz, so he can often alternate between snowboarding and surfing. But it wasn't until his trip to Japan that he realised just how intertwined these worlds are. It is from this relationship that the Snow.Surf Quiver series draws its inspiration. Each of the shapes is based on a slightly different rider and different terrain, similar to how surf shapers create boards for different styles and types of waves.
The Mosquito is like a twin fin, a wide and short board for tight turns, while the Gun is designed to quickly draw elegant lines. But behind all the shapes is a lot of honest testing and validation of different ideas. Sometimes it goes right away, other times a lot of prototypes have to be tried before it works. The riders of the Nidecker team tested them thoroughly until it was clear that it was done.
And how do you actually know when it's done? When the rider has a grin like a Cheshire cat on his face!
There's just no way to count it because board shaping is not a science. It is an art!
